Week 1 {P52} This is me
07-01-2018
I joined a photography community a few days ago & am participating in P52 (themed photo a week for 52 weeks) for a bit of fun & a boost to creative juices....hopefully I have the stamina to make it to the end of the year

So without further ado...

HI!! I’m Bec; full-time cook, accountant, maid, lover, friend, negotiator & boogeymen fighter …. better known as a wife & mother. I have three wild & loving boys, a husband whom puts up with my impulsiveness & keeps me grounded & a feline furry beast called Buddy.

I live on coffee, I'm a mountains & river girl & if I had to pick one genre of music to listen to for the rest of my life it would be country - the boots may have given that way

I started photography 6yrs ago, I picked up my now husbands Canon 1000D & fell in love with being able to create candid images with soul, feeling & character that are a reflection of everyday beauty
Week 2 {P52} Why am I a photographer?
12-01-2018
Why do I pull out my camera? Why am I a photographer? But am I really a photographer? I’ve always been a little reluctant to call myself that, I’ve seen it as a professional title, someone who has built a successful business. I know why I pull my camera out though & there is no one reason. Sometimes it’s for me, it is my therapy, a way to explore & express myself.
Other times it’s because I want to capture my boys, their quirkiness, them as a whole - the good, the bad & the ugly - I want to look back & see them for who they were.
I’m an accidental photographer, I picked up my husband’s Canon 1000D & fell in love with creating, it stimulates my mind & provides me focus. I am an aspiring photographer wanting to create simple, organic, candid images with soul & feeling that reflect everyday beauty.
Week 3 {P52} documentary photography
16-01-2018
Well couldn't get any more real.  Kitchens a mess from making breakfast & I haven't even done my hair yet. While I continue to cook pancakes for my babies I throw a coffee down my throat along with my breakfast (oats) & scan social media.
I don't have a magazine perfect house. I have a house that feels lived in. It's messy (& most the time loud) but it's clean & I'm 100% ok with that. One day I'm sure I'll miss all the mess & noise but at the moment I can think of lots of other fun things to do than clean.
